Sargeant Yearbook Distribution Day - Please make sure your library books are returned, replaced, or paid for before yearbooks are distributed to ensure that there is not a delay in your child receiving his or her yearbook.

Tuesday, June 6th - Last Day of School - Minimum Day Schedule

Grade Level Colors Day: As a Sargeant last day of school tradition, we have our walk up where each grade level gets to walk to the next grade level's area and we get to celebrate our 5th graders moving on to middle school. For the last day of school walk up, we have colors assigned to each grade level as a spirit dress up day.

Last Day of School Celebration

Moving Up Walk  - Celebrating Our 5th Graders

On the last day of school, June 6th at 12:25, we will be celebrating our 5th graders who will be moving on to middle school in our second annual Moving Up Walk.  This is a brief ceremony where all of our students will gather by grade level in a rectangle out on the primary playground.  The 5th graders will walk out to music and walk around the other students as we cheer them on and celebrate them as they say good-bye to elementary school.  They will end in the center of all the students and then each grade level will "move up" in line to their next grade level.  5th grade parents are welcome to attend to cheer for your child.

12:52 Release time- report cards are emailed home

Summer

K-5 Summer Access to Online Tools

Students who have Lexia will have access until June 30th, 2023.

The Book Corner
This is our last Book Corner for the school year and we have enjoyed sharing books and information with you all year.  On Twitter, Mrs. O'Connors and Mrs. Vandivier shared summer reading lists so check there to see what they are reading.

We would like to encourage you to keep your child reading over the summer.  There are so many things available to make it fun, like the reading challenges put on by the public libraries and Barnes & Noble or Sora found through Clever.

Until next school year, happy reading!

A Special Message from Ms. Ellison:

To the Sargeant Community, from Ms. Ellison- As some of you have heard, I accepted a position for next year as Blue Oaks Elementary School’s Assistant Principal. While I’m excited for the AP opportunity, it feels bittersweet since it means leaving Sargeant. I have spent the last 6 years here, with the most recent 2 years as the TOSA. In this role, I have the pleasure of working with all of our Bulldog students, staff, and so many families. I am beyond grateful for my time at Sargeant- a truly special place thanks to the kind, hard-working, and loving people that form the community. I will miss all of the kids, staff, and families terribly! Since I will still be in the Roseville City School District, please feel free to reach me at my same email address if you’d like- LEllison@rcsdk8.org. Thank you for everything, Sargeant.
