Update from Mrs. Rio

Mrs. Rio, our Mental Health Specialist in the Wellness Program will be transitioning into a new role with PCOE and her last day at Sargeant will be Friday, November 19th.  Please see her message below:

Dear Sargeant Students and families,

It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing my departure from serving Sargeant elementary as a Mental Health Specialist with the Wellness Program.  This past year at Sargeant has been incredibly special to me, and I will cherish every memory and relationship made.  Sargeant is truly a special place and it shines through the students and their smiles, laughter, and eagerness to come to school each day.  It was a very hard decision to make when deciding to accept this new opportunity with Placer County Office of Education.  I will miss the daily interactions with the Sargeant students, families, and staff.  I am grateful to have served the Sargeant Community and am sending thanks to each and every one of you.

With love,

Mrs. Rio

*If your child is currently receiving direct services from Mrs. Rio she will be contacting you soon to discuss the next steps.

10/25/21-10/31/21

Friday, 10/29 is wear PJs and/or Orange and Black day.  Please look for communication from your child’s teacher about classroom activities that are scheduled for that day.

Rainy days are upon us.  Please remind your child(ren) to stay out of puddles if they have regular shoes on, as well as to stay as dry as possible.  Please send your child with a sweatshirt/jacket and/or an umbrella (if they have one) as we do have several transitions throughout our day where they walk from place to place.  We want them to stay as dry as possible.  Wet children aren’t comfortable or ready to learn.

SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISER!

We have raised over $45,000 dollars!  That’s incredible for a school our size.  Thank you for all of your support.  Tomorrow is our LAST DAY and then we’ll announce top individual and class earners!  Our Day of Awesomeness celebration day will be scheduled for the spring.  Stay tuned for a date.

Lost & Found

Please stop by and check the lost and found.  We have LOTS of water bottles, masks, and clothing that are missing homes.  Lost & Found is located inside the larger entrance area.  The best time to check it is before or after school.  If you need to check it at another time, please just come into the office and we can help you with this.

Dia de los Muertos

Please read this letter from Senora Neira regarding Spanish class this week.

Work at Sargeant!

Would you like to work at Sargeant as a Meal Duty Supervisor?  We have an opening.  This is a great opportunity to supervise students at lunch and lunch recess.  It’s 1 hour and 15 minutes a day (Monday- Friday) and you get to know ALL of our Sargeant Bulldogs.  If you are interested, please click on this link to apply!
