Meal Duty Needed
Interested in being a meal duty? We are looking for a lunch time meal duty to work 12:05-1:05 supervising students in the lunch room and on the playground. Applications are online at the district web site under Personnel. Please e-mail Mrs. Peck at rpeck@rcsdk8.org if you are interested.
Progress Reports
Progress reports go home today just for students who are limited in academics or behavior. Please e-mail or call your child's teacher if you have any questions.
Park Next to School
We know the park is very tempting as it is right next to school. We ask that kids do not play before school or after school unless supervised by a parent or guardian. We do not have supervision before school in the park. After school we have a yard duty until 15 minutes after the end of the day. If kids are still waiting to be picked up, then they will be asked to move to the front of the school.
Elks Lodge and Emblem Club Poster Contest
The Elks and Emblems of Roseville are sponsoring a poster and es-say contest for their annual drug awareness program, October 23—31, 2018. All 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students are invited to draw a poster (9”x 12” poster paper is in the front office) on the topic “Drugs Take Away...”. All submissions are to be turned in to the District Office by October 31, 2018. Late submissions will not be accepted. Please see the rules for more details. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place at each school site. This year winners and their immediate families will be invited to a dinner/award evening on January 16, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Roseville Elks Lodge.

One Day of Giving with Eich to Support Hurricane Florence
The Eich 6th grade student government class has been brainstorming ways to help people who suffered from Hurricane Florence. As a result, they have designated Tuesday, October 2 as “Funds for Florence Day.” They are encouraging any student and staff member who is able, to please bring in just a dollar, to donate to the survivors of the hurricane. Of course, if you’d like to donate more, that would be great! If every student and staff member from our school, along with students and staff from Eich and 2 other elementary schools made a dollar donation, we would raise over 2,000 dollars to send to help the survivors!!!
There will be boxes available for your donations on Tuesday, October 2. If you bring a donation in check form, please make it out to the American Red Cross. A box is in the office and each teacher will have a Manilla Envelope.
Join us for sips and snacks and shopping at JCrew! With the attached flyer you can get 20% off your purchase of $100 or more and a percent of the purchases goes to our school. The event is this Sunday from 12:00-4:00 in the Fountains. Feel free to pass this along to anyone you know who likes shopping at JCrew.
Friends of the Library Used Book Sale
This is a great chance to get books at a cheap price. Check out the library in downtown Roseville on Saturday, October 6th from 10:00-3:00. Prices: Children's books $.50; small paperback and most media $1; trade or large paperbacks $1.50, hardbound $2 and special sets and table top books from $3.
All proceeds go to the Roseville Public Library!

Elks Lodge y Emblem Club Poster Contest
