Sargeant Families Blog -November 3rd

Thank you to everyone for your donations and support of the Student Council Bake Sale. Because of your generosity, we were able to raise $223.00 to help Ms. Kirkendall battle cancer. The donations will be presented to her in person.

Teachers created Literacy O'Lanterns on October 31st - Spreading Our Love of Reading

Veteran's Day
Once again we will be making Veteran's Day Cards for Sun City Roseville. Our students will be making cards, but we welcome cards made by our parents and families, too. Veteran's Day cards can be left in the basket in the school office or delivered to your child's teacher. Cards will be presented to the Veterans/residents on Friday, November 10, at 6:30 pm prior to their Capitol Pops Concert. If you are interested in helping Mrs. Rainey distribute the cards, please contact her at srainey@rcsdk8.org.
Sargeant's Mr. Pete is a Veteran, and Mrs. Arnall's son, Dylan Arnall, is currently serving in the military (if you would like to make cards specifically for them).

IB Attribute of the Month - Inquirer
How can the Inquirer attribute be developed at home?
- Provide opportunities for your child to be curious and ask questions.  This can include visiting a library, museum, exploring outside, or doing research on a computer.
- Encourage your child to be an inquirer by asking them "why: or "how" when you are talking or reading about different topics.

PTC is holding their 2nd annual craft store this December.  Check out the flyer above if you are interested in being a part of this event.  It's a great way to showcase your creativity and support the school.
