COVID Responses from Placer County Office of Education - Important Information
Please take time to click on the link above and read the different scenarios for when your child has symptoms, been exposed to someone with COVID or tested positive themselves.
If your child is not feeling well, please have them stay home and contact the office.

Note: If your child has symptoms that may be COVID related, we will ask that you stay home until a nurse contacts you.

Free and Reduced Meals

Free and Reduced Meal Applications are more important than you might think.

The Free and Reduced Meal program typically provides assistance to those who qualify, and even though meals are free for all students for this school year, we are asking you to please take a moment and fill out a Free and Reduced Meal application online at ezmealapp.com. The application is due by December 15, 2020.

The number of students that qualify for the Free and Reduced Meal program impacts many services and programs that RCSD offers families.

Our students and schools are at risk of losing 23% of the supplemental grant funding that supports those programs due to the lack of applications submitted to date.

Wellness Tip for Week of 11/13 - Cookie Jar of Calm
When hard things happen, it’s easy for our brain to  focus on what’s going wrong. All of a sudden our brain takes us on a trip to remember the hard time and it can feel like we’re stuck in fog or a funk. The cookie jar of calm is  a fun way to remind our brain to see daylight at the end of the fog. Spend some time adding sweet moments and memories to the cookie jar using the cookies below. This can help remember the sweet moments and deposit them into the cookie jar. Take out a sweet treat when you or your child find yourself in a funk.

General Pick Up Information
Just a reminder:
- All walkers will be released from their classroom when the bell rings.
- If kids are walking home or walking to meet you in the back or front, then let them know they are considered walkers.  They can come out any gate that works for you....just let them know the meeting spot.
- If kids are being picked up in a car in the front loop, we radio their names.  They stay in their class with their teacher until we radio their name.
* If you have any questions, please talk you your child's teacher.

Pick Up in the Front Car Loop
On Friday all kids received a sheet of paper that has their teacher's last name and their first name.  This is for pick up in the car loop in front of the school.
- Please place the paper on your dashboard for pick up.
- We will radio for your child when we see it.
- If you are not using it, store it in your glove box.  You may use it on a rainy day that you didn't plan :)
- If pick up plans change, let your child know.

Sanitizer Donation Update
Originally we thought the sanitizer had to be at least 70% alcohol, but we have now found out it can b 60% or more.

How much alcohol should my hand sanitizer have?
If soap and water are not readily available, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends consumers use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol (also referred to as ethanol or ethyl alcohol).Jun 1, 2020
