9/20/21- 9/26/21

Thank you everyone for your continued support to keep our campus safe.
We appreciate you dropping off your children at the front or back gates at 8:45 so students can arrive to class on time and ready to learn by 8:50!

COVID Quarantines, Illnesses and Independent study

Thank you for your continued patience as we find ourselves responding to ever-changing circumstances.  Please be aware of this information:

  • If you receive email notification about a student in your child’s class being positive for COVID, please click on the LINK in that letter.  This serves as our documentation about your chosen path for your child.  When you get this email and click on that link, you will see 3 options (1- to quarantine, 2- to provide documentation that your child has already had COVID and is therefore exempt from quarantine for 90 days, or 3- you are agreeing to send your child to school (with a mask, symptom-free and willing to test).

    • Once you fill out the form, you DO NOT NEED to call the office and check in.  We will know that you have chosen your plan and can see that you filled out the form.  *As you can imagine, the office is extremely busy these days with so much going on and it creates MORE work if you fill this out and also call to give us that information.

  • If your child is staying home to quarantine, we are NO LONGER doing Independent Study for this.  They are treated the same way a sick student is treated and work can be picked up in the office.  Please communicate with your child’s teacher, not the front office on this.

  • If your child is sick (you may not be sure what is wrong) and staying home, please call the office and let us know so we can clear your child’s absence.

  • If your child tests positive for COVID please contact the office and let us know so we can notify the class.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!

IB Corner:

September: Principled

Students who are PRINCIPLED have a sense of fairness and are honest with

themselves and with others.  They understand that sometimes there are rules and they follow them.

How can families help at home?

  • Teach and model for your child what it looks like to be a respectful winner or loser in a game.

  • Acknowledge your child when they tell the truth even though they know it will get them in trouble.

Reminder: EARLY RELEASE Mondays at 2:00

School gets out at 2:00 every Monday this year.  This is for teachers to work in collaborative groups and is crucial to our success.  Thank you for making transportation arrangements for your child to be picked up on time on Mondays.
