Exciting weeks lie ahead. Our fundraiser begins, we are launching with Sami Kader, we have tutoring underway and Art Docent lessons coming soon! The weather has officially cooled off and children are working hard to make better decisions during recess. The end of trimester 1 is right around the corner. Thank you for your continued support!

Step-It-Up Fundraiser begins Monday, 10/11!
Our fundraiser runs from Monday, 10/11 to Monday, 10/25. No matter how much $ we raise, our students are rewarded with the Day of Awesomeness. We will schedule this for the spring (date TBD).
KEY STEPS: On Monday, 10/11
Information will come home with your child tomorrow!
SIGN UP on Monday night and enter at least 10 names of family and friends that may be interested in donating to our school. Once you submit the 10 names, cut out your child’s Golden Ticket and have him/her bring it to the front of the school Tuesday morning.
Tuesday, 10/12
Your child will win 3 prizes just for bringing back their Golden Ticket. These prizes are given BEFORE SCHOOL IN THE FRONT! Principal Murdaugh and the PTC will be passing these out. Look for large signs and GOLD balloons.
Beth, our Fundraiser Coordinator will pull Golden Tickets for prizes each day on Tuesday, 10/12 through Monday, 10/18! Those raffle prizes include 4 mini-fridges with cash inside and a BRAND NEW IPAD.

Students who are INQUIRERS are curious about the world. They can conduct research independently. They love learning and discovering new things and will carry this love of learning throughout life.
How can families help at home?
Encourage areas of your child’s interest by visiting the library to borrow books that explore these topics.
Develop an understanding of the Internet. Work with your son or daughter when the Internet is being used and try to instill the understanding that some Internet sites are not reputable.
Let your child know it’s ok to be curious and ask questions about the world.

Vaccine Verification REQUIRED for Volunteers:
Attention parents and family members! Beginning Monday, 10/18 we are required to check vaccine status for our Category I or Category II volunteers.
If you are vaccinated, please bring in your vaccine card and show it to Shannon or Amy, our secretaries. They DO NOT need a copy or make a copy. They simply need to see it. This only needs to be done one time. We will mark you cleared in our system and you are cleared.
If you are NOT vaccinated and you would like to continue to volunteer as a Category I or Category II volunteer, you MUST show proof of a negative COVID test within 6 days of being on campus. Our school secretaries will ask for proof of this requirement upon you signing in.

Reminder: EARLY RELEASE Monday at 2:00
School gets out at 2:00 every Monday this year. This is for teachers to work in collaborative groups and is crucial to our success. Thank you for making transportation arrangements for your child to be picked up on time on Mondays.
