IB Attribute  - September is Principled
Students who are PRINCIPLED have a sense of fairness and are honest with themselves and with others.  They understand that sometimes there are rules and they follow them.  

How can families help at home?

- Teach and model for your child what it looks like to be a respectful winner or loser in a game.   

- Acknowledge your child when they tell the truth even though they know it will get them in trouble.  

Do you qualify for free or reduced price meal?
We know there are more students who qualify for free or reduced priced meals than those who apply. In the Roseville City School District, if a student qualifies for reduced-price meals, they will automatically receive free meals. It's also important for parents and students to know that there is no identifying information as to which students receive free meals. Our lunchroom staff, school staff, and classmates are not aware of a child's meal status. For more information and an application, click here!

Pick Up After School The front of the school has been smooth with pick up after school....thank you!  We are still having some problems with North Cirby heading towards Ridgecrest.  This area is for the pick up loop only.  Please don't stop and park your car there (on the school side) to wait for your child.  The buses need to pull in by the bike rack and there needs to be space for them to pull in. The pick up loop starts in front of the buses.  This is a moving line (although slowly).  Please don't stay parked there.  As the line moves forward, you need to move forward, turn right and enter into the parking lot.  

We had concern parents and local residents calling this week in regards to parents having their kids cross in the middle of the road and even driving the wrong play.  Please follow the laws of the road.  Use the crosswalks when crossing the street.  It's important everyone stays safe.  


We are working on a video to share with everyone about the expectations of pick up and drop off...it's coming soon!

Book Donations for Little Free Library 

Everyone is loving the Little Free Library on the playground.  Many kids are taking book, which is great!  If you have any kid's books to donate, please drop them off at the office.  Thank you!

Backpacks and Toys

Please remember there are no toys allowed at school.  This would include clip on toys that kids like to put on their backpacks.  Backpacks are hooked outside of classrooms and we cannot monitor these toys.  Over time they can fall off and also are tempting to kids who don't have them.  We don't want anything to happen.

¿Califica para comida gratis oa precio reducido?

Sabemos que hay más estudiantes que califican para recibir comidas gratuitas oa precios reducidos que aquellos que solicitan el ingreso. En el Distrito Escolar de la Ciudad de Roseville, si un estudiante califica para comidas a precio reducido, automáticamente recibirán comidas gratis. También es importante que los padres y estudiantes sepan que no hay información que identifique a los estudiantes que reciben comidas gratis. El personal de nuestro comedor, el personal de la escuela y los compañeros de clase no conocen el estado de la comida de un niño. Para obtener más información y una aplicación, ¡haga clic aquí!



Perros guardianes
¡Próximamente! Mire la noche de información de DOG el 12 de septiembre. Eche un vistazo al volante vinculado anteriormente, y las copias impresas llegarán pronto a casa. Verifique las carpetas de los miércoles.

Recoger después de la escuela
El frente de la escuela ha sido fácil de recoger después de la escuela ... ¡gracias! Todavía tenemos problemas con North Cirby en dirección a Ridgecrest. Esta área es solo para el ciclo de captación. No se detenga y estacione su auto allí (en el lado de la escuela) para esperar a su hijo. Los autobuses tienen que pasar por el portabicicletas y es necesario que haya espacio para que se detengan. El bucle de recogida comienza en frente de los autobuses. Esta es una línea móvil (aunque lentamente). Por favor, no te quedes estacionado allí. A medida que la línea avanza, debe avanzar, girar a la derecha e ingresar al estacionamiento.



Nos preocupaba que los padres y los residentes locales hicieran una llamada esta semana con respecto a que los padres hicieran que sus hijos cruzaran en el medio del camino e incluso manejaran el juego equivocado. Por favor, siga las leyes de la carretera. Usa los cruces peatonales cuando cruces la calle. Es importante que todos estén a salvo.

Donaciones de libros para Little Free Library
Todos adoran la Little Free Library en el patio de recreo. Muchos niños están tomando un libro, ¡lo cual es genial! Si tiene libros para niños para donar, déjelos en la oficina. ¡Gracias!



Mochilas y juguetes
Por favor, recuerde que no se permiten juguetes en la escuela. Esto incluiría clips en juguetes que a los niños les gusta poner en sus mochilas. Las mochilas están enganchadas fuera de las aulas y no podemos monitorear estos juguetes. Con el tiempo pueden caerse y también son tentadores para los niños que no los tienen. No queremos que pase nada.
