Thank you to everyone who dined out at Chipotle last week!  PTC earned $380 for the event.  We appreciate your support!

Students who are INQUIRERS are curious about the world.
They can conduct research independently. They love learning and discovering new
things and will carry this love of learning throughout life.  

How can families help at home?
- Encourage areas of your child’s interest by visiting the library to borrow books that
explore these topics.
- Develop an understanding of the Internet. Work with your son or daughter when the Internet
is being used and try to instill the understanding that some Internet sites are not reputable.

- Let your child know it’s ok to be curious and ask questions about the world.  

- Promote the "why" and "how" questions that children naturally ask as they grow up.

Library Volunteers

Our new librarian, Mrs. Allen, is looking for volunteers to help re-shelve books on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  If you are interested, please reach out to her at dallen01@rcsdk8.org.  Thank you!

Meal Duty Needed

Interested in being a meal duty? We are looking for a lunch time meal duty to work 12:05-1:05 supervising students in the lunch room and on the playground. Applications are online at the district web site under Personnel.  Please e-mail Mrs. Peck at rpeck@rcsdk8.org if you are interested.

Harvest Festival 

The Harvest Festival is coming and you don't want to miss it.  It will be on October 18th from 4:30-6:30. Check out the flyer linked above for more information about the activities and pre sale tickets.  

- Face Painting will be $2

- Food on Sale at the Harvest Festival will include: Dave's Dawgs meal deal  $6, Chick-Fil-A  $5, Snowie King $3/$5

and Ice Cream
