their ideas by speaking, drawing, and writing.
How can families help at home?
-Encourage your child to stay in touch with relatives and friends who live in other countries by writing letters, drawing pictures, using the phone, or sending email.
-Read a book and discuss a book with your child.
-Ask your child thought provoking questions and encourage them to discuss them with you.
Starstruck
With the school closure being extended, we are going to have to cancel Starstruck. I know the kids (and adults) will be disappointed but at least you have the dances at home for them to practice and show you. :) PTC still needs to pay the company for the practices they held up to the point that school was cancelled. With this being said, if you would like to donate your ticket purchase to help pay for the practices, then we will place the money toward the payment. We also know that some of you would like a refund, which is completely ok too. If you would like a refund for your ticket, please fill out the following form by Friday, April 17th: Starstruck Refund. The information on the form will be used to help Jenifer Selos process the refund and it will be mailed to you. If you have any questions, please contact Jenifer Selos at jenselos@yahoo.com or 916-773-2119.
April 14th - Virtual Learning Begins
Virtual learning will begin tomorrow, April 14th. All students will need to connect to their teacher through Google Classroom where videos and assignments will be posted. The items that went home on the instructional material pick up day will be used with the lessons and activities. Teachers will also be checking in with Zoom or Google Meet once a week to see how the students are doing at home.
During this learning time at home, we know that each household is different. Some of you are still leaving to work outside the home, while others are trying to navigate working from home as well. Please be in communication with your child's teacher on how things are going during this time for your child.

¿Cómo pueden ayudar las familias en casa?
-Anime a su hijo a mantenerse en contacto con familiares y amigos que viven en otros países escribiendo cartas, dibujando, usando el teléfono o enviando correos electrónicos.
-Lea un libro y discuta un libro con su hijo.
-Hágale preguntas a su hijo que le hagan pensar y aliéntelo a discutirlo con usted.

Sé que los niños (y los adultos) estarán decepcionados, pero al menos tienes los bailes en casa para que practiquen y te enseñen. :) PTC todavía necesita pagarle a la compañía por las prácticas que sostuvieron hasta el punto de que la escuela fue cancelada. Dicho esto, si desea donar la compra de su boleto para ayudar a pagar las prácticas, entonces colocaremos el dinero para el pago. También sabemos que a algunos de ustedes les gustaría un reembolso, que también está completamente bien. Si desea un reembolso por su boleto, complete el siguiente formulario antes del viernes 17 de abril: reembolso de Starstruck. El aprendizaje virtual comenzará mañana, 14 de abril. Todos los estudiantes deberán conectarse con su maestro a través de Google Classroom donde se publicarán videos y tareas. Los artículos que fueron a casa en el día de recogida del material de instrucción se usarán con las lecciones y actividades. Los maestros también se registrarán con Zoom o Google Meet una vez por semana para ver cómo les va a los estudiantes en casa.
Durante este tiempo de aprendizaje en el hogar, sabemos que cada hogar es diferente. Algunos de ustedes todavía se están yendo a trabajar fuera de casa, mientras que otros también están tratando de navegar trabajando desde casa.
