Here is the latest video from our school psychologist, Kristen Baisden, and her field workers. These are some great tools for support not only during this time but all the time.
This week's lesson focuses on different size problems: tiny, little, medium, big problem, and huge problem; along with examples at each level.
Part of the Roseville City School District Digital Literacy plan, all students in grades 1-4 were given access this school year to a typing program called EduTyping. Edutyping was kind enough to give the program to all 5th-8th grade students in our District for free from now until August 2021. The goal of this program is to help students improve their typing fluency. Here are instructions on how students can log into EduTyping. EduTyping Login Instructions
IReady
IReady instruction is available for students in Kinder-5th grade for reading and math until July 23rd. This is a great opportunity for your child/children to work on reading and math at their instructional level. If you haven't had your child log on yet, please have them do so this week so their teacher can help problem solve any issues before summer break. Your child will be able to continue working on it in the summer if you want. This is something they can do independently without your help.
Attention 5th Grade Parents!
Two Things:
- We are planning a little surprise for our 5th graders and need to make sure we have everyone's current address. If your address is not current in Power School because you have moved this year and haven't updated it, please email Mrs. Peck at rpeck@rcsdk8.org.
- Mr. Brown, from Eich, has reached out to all of you via email asking you to send a picture of your child to him wearing yellow. He is putting together a video. If you haven't done so, and would like to, please email his today. He is working on the video this weekend. His email is dbrown@rcsdk8.org. Thank you!

Need summer books for your student? PTC is hosting an online Scholastic Book Fair starting Monday. The Book Fair runs May 11 - 24th. 25% of the proceeds go back to Sargeant in books. Free shipping is offered on orders over $25 and orders will be shipped to your home. Shopping online means you'll have a much wider selection of books to pick from than a traditional Book Fair.
