Summer Activities
Some have been asking about ideas for the child for over the summer. Just like any summer, I encourage you to have your child relax, have fun, explore, create and just be a kid. They can help cook, clean up around the house, build forts, go on walks, take a nature scavenger hunt, and more! As always, continue to read: read as a family, have them read on their own, and read to them.
If you are looking for more structured work for them to do, IReady and EduTyping continue to be available ver the summer. They can log in an work independently on their Chromebook/computer. Below is a list of resources/ideas sent out by the district office.

We know that many families would like to continue with a learning plan for students this summer. Our staff has pulled together the most critical skills to work on and developed a model schedule. Below is a link to a schedule with resources:

5th GradersWe are wishing our 5th graders good luck as they enter middle school in August. Since we weren't able to do our walk to congratulate them on the last day, the staff put together a video that was sent to all of them. Here it is for you to check out too! 5th Grade Video.
Chromebooks
If you checked out a Chromebook to use over distance learning, we will not be collecting them just yet. We only need to get back those that are not returning to our school district next year. If you have a Chromebook and you know you are not returning, please email Mrs. Peck at rpeck@rcsdk8.org.
Library Books
Thank you to all of those that were able to return their book. If you have come across more, you can drop them when you pick up student items on June 2nd.

PTC will be placing the yearbooks that were purchased in your child's bag for pick up on June 2nd. The times for pick up are below.

Registration
If you have an incoming student to register, new to Sargeant, please make sure they get registered as soon as possible. If someone moves into your neighborhood and they need to register their child, please direct them to the district website for registration. They can also call the district office over the summer at 916-771-1600.

5 grado
Les deseamos buena suerte a nuestros alumnos de 5º grado cuando ingresen a la escuela secundaria en agosto. Como no pudimos hacer nuestra caminata para felicitarlos el último día, el personal armó un video que se envió a todos ellos. ¡Aquí también puedes echarle un vistazo! Video de 5to Grado.
Chromebooks
Si sacó un Chromebook para usarlo a distancia, no los recopilaremos todavía. Solo necesitamos recuperar a aquellos que no regresarán a nuestro distrito escolar el próximo año. Si tiene un Chromebook y sabe que no regresará, envíe un correo electrónico a la Sra. Peck a rpeck@rcsdk8.org.
Libros de la biblioteca
