3/6/2022-3/12/22

Remember: Our children need words of affirmation!

Starstruck CHANGE!

  • ATTENTION: BOTH SHOWS WILL BE ON TUESDAY 3/15. The original Tuesday night show doesn’t change.  This one is still at 5:30.

  • However, the Wednesday night show will now be on Tuesday 3/15 at 6:30.

  • Here is the program so you can double-check your child’s performance time.  Scroll to the second page.

We are sorry for this inconvenience.  Starstruck had a conflict for Wednesday night.

Videotaping: Please note that we will videotape the daytime student performances that are taking place in the MPR so we can also sell a video performance for better viewing ability and for those who can’t make the showtimes.

Parent Survey
It’s that time of year for our school-wide climate survey.  Our survey will go out via email TOMORROW, Monday, 3/7, and run through Thursday, 3/31. Please check your email for the link!  We will use this information to guide any necessary changes and future areas of growth.
  • Like in years past, children will bring the final sheet of their survey to their teacher for a prize. Watch this video to help your child earn a prize AND be entered into a contest to SLIME/SOAK/SPRAY MRS. MURDAUGH.

Behavior Corrections
We are noticing a big uptick in physical behaviors at recess.  This involves mild-like wrestling, hitting, and shoving.  Students are not acting in a safe, responsible, and/or respectful manner.  Most often this is a result of playing a game of tag or play-fighting and then it gets more serious, with children not able to stop before things escalate.  Please discuss this with your child.  We always encourage students to use their words.  As you can imagine, we can’t solve all problems for students and need them to engage in attempts to solve problems (using our Second Step language).  They are also instructed to get adult help if this doesn’t work.  Remind your child to use words FIRST and then get help if that doesn’t work.  We appreciate your support!
