This week is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week sponsored by our wonderful PTC.  If you can help, please check out the Sign Up Genius.  The events are listed below. 

Get Involved with PTC!
We are looking for nomination for PTC President and Vice President and well as chair people for events/activities.  If you would like more information, please contact Rachael Peck at rpeck@rcsdk8.org.

President - The president shall have the responsibility for the organization.  Items include setting the agenda and running the PTC meetings.

Vice President - The vice president will be elected to assist the president and will chair the pTC meetings when the president is absent.   The vice president will oversee the membership drive and assist in committee organization.

We are hoping to have one more PTC meeting in June before school gets out.  At this meeting we can finalize chair positions for events/activities.

APEX Fun Run 

Mark you calendars....the fun run with APEX is coming!  The kick off rally for the kids will be May 14th and the run will be on Wednesday, May 23rd.  There will be three runs in the morning based on grade levels.  If you can help, we will need volunteers to help mark laps for the kids.  Each run is about 30-35 minutes long.  A Sign Up Genius will be coming soon for volunteers.

CAASPP Testing for 3rd-5th graders has started and will continue to May 18th.  Please make sure to check with your child's teacher to find out which specific dates your child will be testing. 

May 17th and 18th - Musical 6:30
May 23rd - APEX Fun Run
                   Skate Night 6:00-8:00
May 31st - Bucket Band Performance
June 1st - Field Day
June 4th-7th - Minimum Days (Kinder out at 1:50, 2nd-5th out at 2:00)

APEX Fun Run
Marque sus calendarios ... ¡se acerca la diversión con APEX! El rally de lanzamiento para los niños será el 14 de mayo y la carrera será el miércoles, 23 de mayo. Habrá tres carreras en la mañana basadas en los niveles de grado. Si puede ayudar, necesitaremos voluntarios para ayudar a marcar las vueltas para los niños. Cada carrera dura entre 30 y 35 minutos. Como Sigh Up Genius llegará pronto para voluntarios.
