Returning Registrations for the 2020-2021 School Year
It seems like it's a long time from now, but we are already planning numbers for next school year. You should have all received an email from the school district about returning registration. Please take some time to log on and register. If you go to the district's web site at https://www.rcsdk8.org/, you can click on the registration button. Then scroll down to returning registration. The sooner you can get this done, the easier it is on the school site so we can get accurate numbers for next school year. We appreciate it!
New Visitor System
Our district has implemented a new visitor check- in system to help us account for all visitors to campus. If you haven’t been by this week, here are some things to note:
-You will need your driver’s license with you the first time you check in with the new system.
-The ID will be scanned and a badge with your picture will be printed out.
- Once your ID is in the system, it will no longer need to be scanned.
-When you leave, please remove your badge, rip it up, and place it in the basket on the counter.
-It’s important you walk through the office when you leave so Amy and Ann can log you out of the system.
-On assembly days, you do not need to check in, you can head straight to the multi and leave from there. If you are going onto campus afterwards, then you need to check in at the office.

Pick Up After School
Just a reminder that when you are on N. Cirby, this is not an area to stay parked. This is where the pick up line starts and all cars are expected to move forward as room allows (just as these cars are doing in the picture). Please do not park and wait for your child in front of the buses. This area states "No Parking" and is used for the pick up line.
Girls on the Run (GOTR)
GOTR is a running club open to any 3-5th grade girl. Mrs. Gibson and Ms. Kurpershoek will be holding practices twice per week on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 3:30-5:00pm on campus. The girls will practice running techniques, learn teamwork/leadership skills, and will complete a community outreach project together. In May, they get to run in a 5k with other girls who are participating in Girls on the Run at other local schools!
Registration begins on January 20th, and ends on Friday, February 14th. Practices begin on February 10th. There is a fee that parents will be asked to pay online when registering their student.

Giants in the Sky School Musical
Our school musical is right around the corner. There will be two performance nights: January 23rd and 24th. Check out the flyer for more information.

Nuevo sistema de visitantes
Nuestro distrito ha implementado un nuevo sistema de registro de visitantes para ayudarnos a dar cuenta de todos los visitantes al campus. Si no has estado esta semana, aquí hay algunas cosas que debes tener en cuenta:
