How can families help at home?

-Expose your child to different festivals, celebrations and traditions.

-Encourage your child to value others’ opinions. 

-Teach them about your family culture.

Read to Succeed 
It's Read-to-Succeed time again.  Students who read and log their reading for 6 hours will receive a ticket to Six Flags.  New for this year are eReading Logs! Parents can now log their children’s reading time into an online reading log directly into the read-to-succeed website! Each teacher has their own code. Parents can log and track their child’s progress during the program. We will also have paper logs available this year since the eReading logs are new. Some teachers will be sending home paper reading logs home to all their students, other teachers opted for the eReading logs. If your student's teacher opted for the eReading log but you prefer paper, let them know and we can get you a paper log. Teachers will be sending home either the paper log with your student or instructions on how to log your students reading online. All reading logs (paper and eReading) will be due April 7th. Thank you!

Enero: de mente abierta

Un estudiante de MENTE ABIERTA sabe que todas las personas son diferentes. Escuchan los puntos de vista de los demás y consideran muchas posibilidades antes de tomar una decisión. Celebran las diferencias en todos.

Leer para tener éxito

Es tiempo de leer para triunfar nuevamente. Los estudiantes que leen y registran su lectura durante 6 horas recibirán un boleto para Six Flags. ¡Lo nuevo para este año son los registros de eReading! ¡Los padres ahora pueden registrar el tiempo de lectura de sus hijos en un registro de lectura en línea directamente en el sitio web de leer para tener éxito! Cada maestro tiene su propio código. Los padres pueden registrar y seguir el progreso de sus hijos durante el programa. También tendremos registros en papel disponibles este año ya que los registros de eReading son nuevos. Algunos maestros enviarán a casa registros de lectura en papel a todos sus estudiantes, otros maestros optaron por los registros de eReading. Si el profesor de su alumno optó por el registro de eReading pero prefiere el papel, infórmeles y podemos obtenerle un registro en papel. Los maestros enviarán a casa el registro en papel con su estudiante o instrucciones sobre cómo registrar a sus estudiantes leyendo en línea. Todos los registros de lectura (en papel y eReading) deberán entregarse el 7 de abril. ¡Gracias!
