Sargeant's Girls on the Run team members are hoping for your donations of new and gently used clothes and travel-sized toiletries to help The Gathering Inn.  The Gathering Inn offers many services to those experiencing homelessness in Placer County. Please consider supporting this cause by looking through closets this week or purchasing toiletries. There will be a box in the office for donations, as well as a jar for cash donations from Monday, May 15th- Friday, May 19th.

The GOTR girls appreciate your support, thank you!

The Book Corner
This week we are highlighting author Julia Cook.  Julia writes books about everyday hurdles that kids encounter in a fun way for the family.  Here are a few titles:

A Bad Case of Tattle Tongue
My Mouth is a Volcano
Bubble Gum Brain
Lying Up a Storm

We have some of her books in our library but she's written tons of books and you can find them on Amazon.

Please check the lost and found before June 6th.
Items left in lost and found will be donated at the end of the school year.

Moving Up Walk  - Celebrating Our 5th Graders

On the last day of school, June 6th at 12:25, we will be celebrating our 5th graders who will be moving on to middle school in our second annual Moving Up Walk.  This is a brief ceremony where all of our students will gather by grade level in a rectangle out on the primary playground.  The 5th graders will walk out to music and walk around the other students as we cheer them on and celebrate them as they say good-bye to elementary school.  They will end in the center of all the students and then each grade level will "move up" in line to their next grade level.  5th grade parents are welcome to attend to cheer for your child.
