Family Dance was a blast!
It was so much fun to see so many families at school on Friday night. Thank you for attending this fun event! A special thank you to our awesome Desiree Hessel for all of her hard work planning, the PTC and parent volunteers who made the night a success.
Sargeant Rocks!
Rocks were donated and delivered by Hastie's Capitol Sand and Gravel last week! Many students will paint Kindness rocks in their classrooms and add them to our Kindness Pathway.
Thank you SOOO much to everyone who helped move them. That was a big job and we definitely saw the power of teamwork in making that happen. We even had Vlad Badeka help with several loads in his large garden wagon. Thank you to Lindsey O and Kristen Fritts for working on having the rocks donated and delivered. Thank you to all of the staff, students and parents that helped move the rocks to classrooms and other areas on campus. Maya Badeka was a super star helper. She came to school early to help move rocks with her dad.
Congratulations to our Girls on The Run! They completed a 5K this weekend. We are so proud of them.
Thank you to all of the families that supported the girls in their participation and through donations to The Gathering Inn. A big thank you to Mrs. Gibson and Mrs. Danielson!
The Book Corner:
This week we spotlight author Jessie Sima. This author writes picture books and has many, but here we will focus on three in particular.
Not Quite Narwhal
Perfectly Pegasus
Weather Together
This trio is all about well-being: belonging, finding friends, and weathering problems together! The pictures are adorable and the text is pretty simple but these books pack a powerful message. They'd be great summer reads and before the new school year reads!
